It is more popular than ever before, to want to employ a professional event designer and stylist to decorate your wedding or event, however, paying for this level of service and expertise is not always something that couples have budgeted for, so, alongside my event design, styling and on the day services, I also offer a service for clients and other suppliers to hire any of the items in my prop store. This simple and affordable rental service enables clients to hire pieces from my curated collection of contemporary, high end wedding decor and luxury tableware and go on to self-style their event. This post explains about the pieces in my collection, the process of dry hiring wedding decorations and props from Party Squared and how you can take inspiration from the visuals I share to design and style your day.
I like to inspire others and have worked with other trusted wedding suppliers and venues and created a series of imagery showing ways to style my rental collection. You can get ideas on which pieces work well together and how to style welcome areas; reception spaces; how to decorate tables and bar areas as well as design creative cake table set ups like the one below. All of the suppliers involved in the contributing to the images in this post are credited at the bottom and if you click on the photos, you be taken to the photographers' websites. I tend to dry hire to individuals styling their own wedding or event, as well as hiring to wedding florists, other wedding stylists and prop hire companies and corporate clients, in Essex, Suffolk, Cambridge, Kent, London and Surrey, but have hired to clients based all over the UK.
Since September 2018 I have been assembling an eclectic collection of modern and preloved pieces. I have a collection of artisan pieces from luxury homeware brands and some second hand items, lovingly sourced over a number of months or years. I have also included items designed in house or pieces commissioning and made in the UK by craftspeople. I like to curate the collection to include high quality items that are a little bit different or special. Take a look at my Instagram feed or Pinterest boards for inspiration and ideas for decorating your modern and stylish wedding or special occasion using my curated collection of wedding décor pieces and and to see the props we have available. Head to the Party Squared website to view the hire collection and pricing.
The dry hire service is very simple. Contact me with your wish-list, event date and venue postcode, so I can check the stock availability for your date. Dry hire orders are automatically defaulted to include free customer collection and return. If you are happy to collect and return, our collection collection time slot is usually 10am on the collection day and 2:00pm on the agreed return date. Alternative timings may be available to you, however, a surcharge may apply.
If you're placing a large order or hiring some of our bulkier items, you may not have a large enough vehicle to transport the items. In this case we may be able to offer a transportation service for orders with a hire spend of over £300. Delivery and collection charges to and from your venue are based on mileage and time travelled. Delivery is door to door, but doesn't include unpacking the items from the packing materials or setting up. If you'd like me to manage the installation or styling of your props at your dry hire venue or if you can't get into the venue until the morning of the wedding and need someone to style on the day, please get in touch to discuss our styling fees.
After I have received your wish-list and confirmed availability, I will send you a formal quotation by email. You will be sent a link enabling you to view your quote and hire agreement terms and conditions. Your personalised quotation will include a security deposit, which is held for the duration of the hire period as security against my items. You'll also be able to view the payment schedule and itemised invoice. I'll give you a call a couple of days after you've received your quotation, to see if you'd like to ask any questions or make amendments to your quotation. When you are ready to book I'll ask you to sign the hire agreement online and pay a non-refundable booking fee by bank transfer to reserve the items. I'll confirm receipt fo your signed agreement and booking fee payment and then you're all booked!
I understand plans change and guest numbers and table numbers fluctuate, so I am totally flexible with amendments, provided they're made in advance of your final payment date. It's always best to order the maximum you think you will need and then reduce, rather than the other way around. This is because I may take other bookings for items over the same hire period.
I'll contact you before your final invoice is due to check your order then send a collection notice after we've received your balance payment. This will give you an up to date list of items ordered; details on quantities and which item goes in which crate/ packaging etc. This will make the process of re-packing your items easy and straightforward for you. It is really important that no packing materials are lost or disposed off whilst your event is taking place. I hire a number of fragile items and like to keep them in their original boxes, bags and wrap to ensure they do not break in transit.
Around two days before collection, I will prepare your order. I'll clean and polish everything ready to be packed up. On the morning of your collection I'll load your order onto a trolley and bring your items to the loading bay ready for collection. You'll have a 15 minute slot in the loading bay to load the items into your vehicle.
On return, I'll book the items back into stock, check the condition of the items returned and then clean everything ready to for the next event. I will then contact you to provide details of the account number you'd like the security deposit returned to. I will return the security deposit in full, provided the items are all returned and are in a hireable condition. If any items are returned late or are have suffered accidental damage during the hire period, you will be contacted immediately and either charged a late return fee per day or asked to cover the replacement cost of the item.
I'll contact you one last time to request you review your experience and to find out if you and your photographer have any photos of our props in use that you'd be happy to share to help us inspire future clients.
There you go! I think that's covered everything, if you have any more questions about hiring from my collection, get in touch by email or leave a comment below. Thank you.
If you'd like to come and visit the prop store you can book a 45 minute appointment to view the collection and try out some table designs.
