Brightly Coloured Summer Wedding at Gaynes Park

Inspiration for styling a unique, modern and brightly coloured summer wedding at Gaynes Park from Lizzie and Dan's, special day.

Its very rare for me to be involved with weddings that are so bold and brightly coloured so when Lizzie got in touch and shared her vision for styling her summer wedding at Gaynes Park, I couldn't wait for her to book. It can be very easy to slip into traditional wedding colour palettes and whilst that is totally OK, it is great to see a couple embracing their love of colour and wanting to stand out from the crowd and for this reason Lizzie and Dan's wedding will stay etched in my memory banks.

The couple were married in The Orangery, had welcome drinks in the gardens and held their wedding reception in The Mill Barn. Lizzie wore a stunning gown with such beautiful features, their choice of colour palette complemented the surroundings and unique, modern printed stationery added a sense of fun and the relaxed style dining, gave a chic informality to the day.

On the Day Wedding Styling at Gaynes Park

Lizzie already had a very clear idea of how she wanted her's and Dan's wedding to be styled. She had most of the details planned and most suppliers on board. Lizzie and Dan knew that the venue had their ceremony and wedding breakfast in hand, the bridal flowers and stationery ordered, but wanted a dedicated and trusted person to oversee the setting up and styling of ceremony decorations, on the day stationery and table decorations as well as the finishing touches taken care of.

It was PERFECTION. Thank you so much for bringing our vision to life!! 🧡 Lizzie

Lizzie and Dan's chose rustic trestle tables in a banquet style layout. We added relaxed cotton runners and bud vases which Lizzie had purchased herself which I filled with stems supplied by Honey Bunch London. The bud vases were dotted the length of the table interspersed with personalised Neom candles and strings of dried flowers were woven through the centrpieces.

Lizzie had ordered a table plan and welcome sign which were displayed on sign holders and easels from the Party Squared Styling Collection. Each place setting had a rectangular folded napkin, cutlery and glassware provided by the venue with a tent folded orange place card with wavy cut edges and a tiny jar of sweets with a personalised wedding label.

One of the more time consuming jobs that Lizzie wanted a stylist to take care of was hanging a dried floral installation behind the ceremony table. These delicately wired fllowers were individually hung from the beams in the orangery to create this beautiful backdrop to the ceremony. At the end of the evening the team returned to carefully take down these delicate dried flowers so they could be neatly wound on card and used another time by Lizzie and Dan.

The gardens were in full bloom with beatiful borders and well kept lawns so naturally the couple wanted their guests to spend time in this picturesque space. They hired a selection of garden games to entertain guests during the welcome drinks and cocktail hour which as you can see from the photos were a huge hit!
