After offering wedding inspiration sessions for couples starting their wedding planning journey and seeing how they were using the search engine platform, I realised I can make using Pinterest.for wedding planning much easier for couples, by sharing some simple tips I have learnt along the way. After many years spent happily pinning and creating PSQ Pinterest boards, I’ve got my Pinterest mojo and honed my skills for creating inspirational wedding vision boards.
When building a wedding design look book, I use a combination of images from styled wedding shoots I have worked on, images from venue open days and showcases I have styled, photographs from real weddings and inspiring images from other industry professionals. I am ready to share what I have learnt about the best ways to or set up, organise and use boards Pinterest when starting to plan your wedding.
This post will summarise five steps to kickstarting your wedding planning on Pinterest, but if you're ready to skip straight to the guide CLICK here and sign up to my newsletter to grab your copy.
So, let’s get to it, here's a summary of five easy steps to kickstart your wedding planning using Pinterest:
Create a secret Pinterest board, either one overall board or if you’re currently choosing between wedding themes, one board per theme.
Name your board with a heading that is identifiable and informative.
Add sections to your board for each aspect of your wedding design and planning.
Share your board with your bridesmaids, suppliers and venue coordinator and invite wedding suppliers as collaborators, so they can add images and ideas too.
Edit your board, archive images no longer relevant or images that don’t feel cohesive, feedback on pins and get rid of any duplicate imagery.
Sounds simple enough doesn't it, but then I know what I am talking about. If you need more help than this I've created something perfect for you, read on. A gift from me to you!
