I've just had an email to say an outdoor wedding shoot I styled, has been featured on The Outside Bride
If you're looking for an intimate, quirky and romantic way to celebrate your nuptials and a stunning an unique backdrop for your wedding photos, then grab a cup of something and take a look.
When Dawn approached me about styling her Narrow Boat shoot I instantly agreed. I love styling unique and creative shoots, weddings and events, and this was going to be one of those shoots!
Dawn talked me through the concept and her vision. We discussed the colours she wanted to feature and the style of the shoot, bright, bold and warming. I put together a shoot inspiration board to share with the other suppliers.
I chose to style a sweetheart table on board ‘My Girls’, a narrow boat moored on the Heybridge Basin. I borrowed a 4ft reclaimed wood trestle table and two vintage fold up chairs from Anthology Vintage Hire and styled with a pale pink runner and chiffon overlay for texture.
I used contemporary gold and white handled cutlery, white china and napkins and finished with a black and white striped ribbon and rope knot. The runner was dressed with pieces from my cut glass and crystal collection; a mismatched selection of vases, candlesticks and footed bowls. Miss Fleur Floral created small floral arrangements in punchy colours in each of the glass items. Pink cushions finish the seating look and tie in the colours from the table.
I styled a low reclaimed wood table, also from Anthology Vintage Hire with a grey relaxed runner, glass and flower arrangements that co-ordinate with the table arrangements and added the striped ribbon to the cake to give it contrast and a nautical feel.
We were so lucky with the weather and the cut glass and crystal pieces sparkled and glistened in the sun.
The set up looked beautiful and really unique. We had lots of compliments from the tow path as people strolled by.
